Wintering With City Green: Sharing our Skills at Gardening Workshops

Our Community Horticulture team is busy planning several adult gardening workshops for the 2023 season! Adult educational workshops are some of our favorite events here at City Green: they invite more members of our community to visit and explore the Farm Eco-Center while providing gardening lessons from skilled professionals. Adult workshops are geared towards all skill levels working in all different spaces, from small garden plots to extensive backyard homesteads. Adult education workshops also provide members of City Green’s Dig In! community garden network with opportunities to enhance their skills and ensure their gardens are thriving. You can look forward to a variety of workshops this season ranging in topics from garden planning, pest management, pruning practices, and more!

This year we’re hosting the 2023 City Green Home Gardeners Conference at the Farm Eco-Center on May 20th! Join us for a full day of sustainable gardening and homesteading workshops, appropriate for all garden types and skill levels. Workshops will cover topics including beekeeping, plant identification, soil health, container gardening, mushroom growing, native plants, and more. Save the date & stay tuned for more info on how to join us!

Additionally, City Green is excited to offer several additional workshops provided by City Green staff and partner’s from local gardening organizations this spring. Workshops planned include:
