The purpose of City Green’s School Grounds Program is to provide our partnering schools and educational institutions with:

  • Outdoor school garden classrooms

  • Teacher training

  • On-going support

School gardens enhance academic achievement across disciplines. And ensure student interaction with the natural world, access to hands-on experimental learning, and an understanding of where food comes from

The School Grounds Program provides teachers with curriculum, resources, and knowledge so that they can confidently use their outdoor garden classroom.

The school gardens we provide serve as an educational asset and as a tool to cultivate a farm-to-school culture that values and celebrates garden education as an integral part of developing the whole child.
