City Green’s annual Plant Sale is right around the corner! Join us at the Farm Eco-Center in Clifton on Friday May 9th and Saturday May 10th from 10am to 4pm to browse an amazing selection of organic vegetable seedlings.
Hundreds of neighborhood gardeners visit City Green's Plant Sale each year to choose from dozens of varieties of high-quality veggie plants. Getting your garden seedlings from a local farm versus a big-box store has many advantages: in addition to receiving plants that are healthy and well-cared for, City Green’s farmers will be at the plant sale to answer any questions and help you choose the best plants for your home or community garden. The open-air market is also a great space to meet neighbors and exchange gardening tips and tricks.
All proceeds from the Plant Sale go right back into City Green’s farms and food access programs. Shoppers can pay with cash, credit/debit, or SNAP/EBT. All SNAP/EBT purchases are eligible for a 50% off Good Food Bucks discount.
After you’re done shopping, you can take a relaxing stroll through City Green’s native Learning Garden, say hello to the goats and chickens, and enjoy an afternoon outdoors! Participating in this community event is a great way to kick off the garden season.
Our farmers hand-seeded each plant this winter to ensure that they would be garden-ready by May. We source all of our seeds from Johnny’s seed company and use high-quality organic McEnroe potting mix to start each seedling.

The plants you will find at our plant sale are the same tried and true varieties that we grow at City Green Farms and sell at our farm stands. Come shop for all your summer favorites such as:
Tomatoes (beefsteak, heirloom, and cherry!)
Zucchini
Summer Squash
Eggplant
Hot and Sweet Peppers
Basil, Thyme, Sage and Oregano
Kale and Collards
