Winter Pruning Workshop

Learn all about pruning at City Green’s Winter Pruning Workshop!

Join us in the gardens at the Farm Eco-Center on Saturday, February 26th from 12:00 PM - 2:30 PM for a hands-on pruning workshop with City Green's Head Gardener, Yvette Weaver! Pruning helps to improve plant health, control plant size, and encourage flowering and fruiting. Attendees will learn technical skills on pruning, as well as information on native plant choices, proper timing, placement, and techniques for maintaining flourishing shrubs. Common home and landscape shrubs will be covered including hydrangeas, rhododendrons, dogwoods, willows, and figs. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately for this outdoor event and bring their own loppers. Tickets are $20. This workshop will be limited to 20 participants. City Green’s Head Gardener Yvette Weaver is passionate about plants and gardening. Her career has spanned over 15 years working across trail building, creating floral designs, garden design, and garden management.
