Intro to Permaculture & Food Forests

Join City Green Farmers, Henry and Isabel, for a workshop all about permaculture & food forests! Permaculture, or “permanent agriculture,” is a way of planting that mimics how plants would naturally grow and be organized, allowing the plants’ ecosystem to sustain itself. This workshop includes an in-depth tour of City Green’s permaculture hill, followed by an overview of best practices, plant selection, and tips on how to incorporate permaculture into your own garden.

• A brief overview of permaculture design/regenerative landscaping 

• How to use swale and berm beds

• Sheet mulching

• Food forest planting design
