In recognition of the current crisis, we cannot celebrate our Earth Day and Volunteer Kick Off in-person. All of us at City Green remain hopeful for the future, and want everyone to continue to think about the importance of Earth Day and taking climate action!
Volunteers are essential in helping us thrive – and we’d love an opportunity to work with you! Please sign up for a Volunteer Orientation*. Orientations are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, right at the start of the morning and afternoon volunteer sessions. After you complete the Orientation, you can begin volunteering that day, or any Wednesday you are available!
Volunteers are welcome during our morning session in the garden or for the evening session on the farm:
The morning session, 9:30am-12:00pm, focuses on the Native Flower Gardens. Work with our Gardener on weeding, planting, mulching, and other routine maintenance of the gardens.
The evening session runs from 5:00pm-dusk focuses on the farming and crop production. Work with our Farm Manager on planting, weeding, and harvesting the produce.
We accept volunteers ages 13 and up. Dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared to work outside and get dirty!
City Green is proud to be a plastic water bottle free zone. Please refrain from bringing plastic water bottles to volunteer. We have water refill stations for your reusable water bottles onsite!
*Volunteers under 18 years of age must have a guardian present to sign the Youth Volunteer Waiver.
