Dig In! Daffodil, Tree and Native Perennial Grant Application

APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND ELIGIBILITY
ELIGIBILITY: This program supports community organizations, youth organizations, faith-based organizations, municipal “adopt-a-lot” programs, garden clubs, green teams, and energetic community members looking to spearhead a public greening project located in Passaic County.
ALL PROJECTS MUST:
Have a minimum of 3 adults committed to the project
Be highly visible to the public and provide an identifiable positive impact to the neighborhood
Have workable soil on-site, at least 6 hours of sun exposure, and access to water (tree and perennial grants only)
Be completed before November 20, 2022
Projects outside of Passaic County.
Schools (Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for school garden inquiries)
Commercial for-profit entities
Provide before, during and after photos of the project
Use appropriate hashtags when posting on social media and distribute a press release about the grant and planting day (hashtags and press release template provided by City Green).
Project must be completed by November 20, 2022
Dig In! Tree Grant
Grant is awarded as 2 - 3 native trees ( community organizations).
Native trees might include Eastern Redbud, Dogwood and Silver Bell based on availability and preference
Dig In! Daffodil Bulb Grant
Dig In! Native, Perennial Grant (Available to returning partners only)
Grant is awarded in $250 of perennial flowers that are native to New Jersey and procured by City Green
Plant species may include Rudbekia, Echinacea, Aster, and Monarda based on availability.
Applications are due August 10th, 2021 at 11:59 pm EST.
Complete Sections I, II, and III of the application.
Provide the electronic signature of Project Coordinators.

By signing below, we demonstrate our support for the planting project if the grant is successful, and understand that should we be awarded the grant, we will attend the Dig In! Award Ceremony, complete the planting project to the best of our ability and provide a final report at the end of the season.
