Youth Programming
Our City Green Learning Garden in conjunction with our growing number of satellite youth gardens, rounds out a comprehensive approach to inspiring young people to learn, engage in their community, take care of themselves and their neighborhoods, and understand, respect and care for their environment. We currently serve over 800 inner city youth from 6 - 17 years of age. See City Sprouts for more information.
School Programming
City Green offers school garden expertise to help create an outdoor learning lab for investigation and study in the natural world and to support food systems education. City Green also facilitates student driven Environmental Clubs, helping to spread awareness, education & appreciation of the environment through club activities. Urban Agriculture
City Green is leveraging two farm sites and community enthusiasm to build a sustainable food system with greater food production and greater access to fresh healthy food, while providing leadership opportunities and inspiring positive change in the communities we serve.
City Green Greenhouse
In an effort to become more self sustainable and to enhance existing educational and community programs we are utilizing and maintaining greenhouses at both our Eastside Park Urban Farm in Paterson and our newly aquired 5 acre Schultheis Farm in Clifton, NJ.
