Satrudays on the Farm: For the Birds!


Families with children ages 4-8 are invited to the Farm Eco-Center for our monthly Saturday's on the Farm Program. This month's theme is For the Birds! and we'll learn all about our local birds! Children will design and take home a bird feeder. 


Saturday, April 15, 10:00 am-11:00am. Register here



Parent(s) must accompany children to this program. The fee is $8.00 per child.  



Volunteer Kick-Off Event! 
Celebrate Earth Day City Green style by helping us kick-of our weekly Wednesday Weeders Volunteer Program! Wednesday Weeders welcome all who want to lend a hand or two and help out in the garden and on the farm. 
On this Earth Day edition of Wednesday Weeders, we'll plant an honorary tree, enjoy light refreshments and have special thanks-you gifts for all of our volunteers! For more information, please email or call us at 973-869-4086.
Wednesday April 19th, 9:00am-12:00pm to help in the gardens
or 5:00pm-dusk to help in the farm. 
Home Gardener Workshop: The Deer-Proof Garden
Director of Horticulture, Emil Rostello Jr., is preparing to start the Spring Home Gardening Workshop Series. The first workshop of the series is "The Deer-Proof Garden" which offers plant suggestions and design strategies to help you keep a beautiful garden and landscape amidst the deer. Refreshments will be served

Farm to Table Family Fun Night!
Enjoy a fun-filled evening on the farm and learn a new recipe with the entire family! Families will take a trip into the farm to learn about veggies, then we'll harvest some produce and head into the farm house to prepare a farm-fresh & delicious snack Workshop is geared towards children ages 4-8, but older siblings are welcome to participate as long as they are pre-registered.  
Wednesday, April 26th at 5:30pm in the evening at the City Green Farm Eco-Center: 171 Grove St. in Clifton. This is a FREE family workshop, but registration is requrired. Register here
City Green's Annual Plant Sale

Come on down to buy all of your favorite vegetable plants. For two days, we'll be selling our most popular varieties of tomatoes, peppers, kale, eggplant and more! 
Grown right in our own greenhouse in Clifton, NJ, we promise you'll enjoy growing your own garden-fresh vegetables! 
Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th from 8am-4pm at the 
City Green Farm Eco-Center: 171 Grove St, in Clifton. 
City Green's Spring Garden Conference!

City Green's Spring Garden Conference is back and we're so excited for you to join us for this full day of garden events. Morning and afternoon workshops include: 

Square Foot Gardening - Keeping Chickens - Eating Seasonally - Creating Healthy Soil - Fundraising for Your Garden & Many More! 

Lunch is included and the day is capped off with an ice cream social. 

Saturday, May 6th. Doors open at 9:30, event starts at 10am.
Second Annual City Green Strawberry Festival! 

The City Green Strawberry Festival is near and we're getting excited! Enjoy the unique, beautiful grounds, pick strawberries and enjoy all of the vendors and activities we have in store! There will be crafts, games, strawberry themed-snacks, music and more!
