Growing Strong

City Green’s High School Internship Program, Growing Strong, offers paid summer internships to local High School students who work on the City Green Farms, at the City Green Farm Stands and at the City Sprouts Learning Garden Summer Camp. In addition to providing local youth with job opportunities, the Internship program provides all participants with formal job training related to their internship responsibilities and a youth development program.

The Mission of our Intern program is to provide city youth from northern New Jersey summer and academic year internships that provide them the opportunity to gain job and life skills that will assist them in achieving their educational and professional goals; to positively engage with their community through the operation of a socially responsible urban farming and market enterprise; and to  gain a strong foundation of food system and agricultural issues.
